What a fucking day! theres just been a terrible fire opposite me, luckily someone got the lady out in time, and her kids were away from home, apparently caused by a cigarette, my house is like bloody Waterloo station at the mo, so much for a quiet weekend eh? just glad she's ok only mid thirties, makes you think though eh? so easily done, so give those smoke alarms a test eh?

I think the government should give ALL homes a smoke alarm, I really do. Then its down to the individual to keep it checked etc, it would save on insurance premiums.

All the council homes in my borough are fitted with them....the rest as you say are down to the home owner.
