Wacko
Re: Wacko Jacko - No.1's DVD/CD
Documentry on him tonight....plus hes got a new (or should I say old! compilation) album & DVD out called No.1's - I went in to HMV on Monday and saw it on sale and his record company continue to rip people off by putting out 4 covers of the DVDs & CD albums. Thats Sony music trying to milk all the pennys out of Jacko products.

Re: Wacko
Just another grubby little incident to throw on the pile, I imagine. It's easy to forget he's done some fine stuff, and it's sad in the truest sense to see the way he's gone. Still, he had enough nous not to give that creepy, suspect Louis Theroux any time, I noticed, so maybe he's not that mad after all.

wtf...i wasnt gonna say anything until u said that! louis theroux is excellent and michael wouldve stood in a better position had he gone with him rather than bashir.
i think he probably only said no because most of the shows louis has done have been about eccentric./weird/controversial ppl....doesnt exactly bode well. and btw - u mustve watched the whole show to realise that conclusion, so u cant dislike him that much:P

Theroux-up?
I watched it intrigued to see what Jacko's terrifying father was like, actually ("I didn't beat him....I hit him with a belt" - shudder).
As for Theroux, he's merely making a career out of that age-old public schoolboy conceit, namely punishing people for not being as smart as he is, and with a nasty side order of snide mockery to boot. There's nothing journalistic here, I'm afraid, just smug, empty, vulgar, voyeuristic 'entertainment' smartly calculated and packaged for an audience presumably of the same said characteristics. No-one familiar with such is fooled by that faux-naivete and those bumbling manners, hence the outlandishness of some of his unawares subjects. As Stephen Fry rightly pointed out; he sticks the knife in then offers to fetch the plasters.
