Evening.
Need a new car. Thinking of a Skoda Fabia vRS. Sporty diesel model. Anybody got one to pass comment? No doubt this post will bring about the usual Skoda taunts, but this car gets some cracking write ups!
Our local constabulary are equipping themselves with the Octavia vRS. Talking to a traffic lad in the pub the other night and he says they are scrapping at the start of each shift for the keys to them! Nobody want to drive the Volvo or the Saabs any more!
Any sensible comments either way?

yes don?t talk to traffic cops in your local mate or they will have you believing anything, they are only telling you to get a new SKODA so it will be easier for them to catch you in their solar powered milk float during the night.
PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?

This guy seems to like it...
Never driven one myself, but the VW/Audi Turbo Diesels certainly have a reputation for being the dogs danglies. I don't like their gearboxes though. I had a go in a Corrado VR6 once, talk about long throw g/box action, a world away from the best quick-action Jap boxes, but maybe they've improved.
