Why didn't you use or did OE5 disable access through this as well?

Re: Bill Gates, Arsetrinket
I used that Yahoo account in the interim- BTW, the problem was apparently Spamwasher 'hijacking' my pop3 account- renaming it back to the original (having uninstalled SW as a failsafe) cured the problem. But the spam still floweth freely.........
I'll use the Yahoo for 'important' stuff until I get round to changing my OE address to abate the spam nuisance...........

Re: Bill Gates, Arsetrinket
Free Programs always come with that Risk alas
I've got my spam down to 24 a day from a high of 80
The only effective way to block all spam is basically to block every word from a to z and then tell your friends not to put anything in the subject line
What peeves me is my ISP has a filter but it comes as an extra which you buy on top of the initial package
Seems silly given that SPAM deleted helps their system
cheers

Magoo recommended Yahoo- effective filters, no spam at all. The peace and quiet is wonderful.
Have just mailed you, BTW..........

Re: Bill Gates, Arsetrinket
Thats not quite true with Yahoo about their filters
I set up an email with them and have received about 10 spam over the last month
Its true a lot is deleted but a few still get through
Checking email as I speak
cheers

Re: Bill Gates, Arsetrinket
My ISP filters spam so efficiently that I get worried it might also be filtering emails I want to receive.
