I think it is there to tell you that that message has recently been posted to save you time in checking the posting times. Simple really!!!!!!! lol

Has happened to all of us Mart...Its seems to come and go on my computer regardless of what settings I have on at the time in regards to cookies and security

Using back/arrow instead of back to topic can cause it

The only solution(posted by Woodgnome) was to click All Read

This leaves you with 2 different colours too choose from

Personally I go by the times & the colors when new starts to dominate
