a character actor from the 60s/70s just heard hes passed away,was in the series mickey dunne,the avengers[all done with mirrors],the spies etc.

This is getting to be a sad time with all these stars passing away, all with cancer too!!

I remember Dinsdale in lots of things, a 'jobbing' actor as they would say!

he was good usually played toffs or terence alexander types army blokes wide boys city gents etc.

I've been looking for a photo of him but couldn't find one. He has been in all sorts of things; Dr. Who, All Creatures Great and Small, the Hammer "Rasputin".

quite a coicidence wink wink,theres a play he was in with alan bates that i dont recall seeing,bbc should reshow those old play for todays the early 70s ones were very good .

He also appeared in "Digby the Biggest Dog in the World" - I got to see part of it being filmed in, gulp, 1973 near where I lived at the time.

A mate and I went along because we both had a crush on Angela Douglas but sadly she wasn't in any of the scenes being filmed that day so we never got to meet her.
