Why is it that when The World Cup and the William Webb Ellis trophy was won, that team can take it 'home' for the duration until the next event. Same with the UEFA and Champions League trophies, BUT when a snotty trophy like Wimbledon or the poncy 'Claret Jug' in golf is won, the organisers won't let it out of their sight, let alone let the winner 'take it home'?
Its not as if the winner is a nobody with a dodgy background.
Same with The Ashes before Buttsie kicks off, if Australia 'win' it (as is the norm in cricket) They should be allowed to have their turn and display it
