Technical Assistance required
Wonder if anyone can help.
I'm trying to save some Quick Time movies off a site that I subscribe to, have followed the instructions on the site and have reached the point where I need to locate the browser's cache file, but the movies do not appear in there.
This is what the instructions tell me:-
"Click Find Files or Folders? on the Start Menu and type *.mov* in the Named: box and search in the Temporary Internet Files folder. When the search is complete, copy the files from the search results to your computer e.g. C:\My Documents\My Videos."
I've got Windows XP Professional and Quick Time 6.5 installed.
Any suggestions/ what am I doing wrong?
TIA
Marblehead.

I think I know the site you are referring to. Doesn't she talk dirty?
I don't do it that way.
Go into TempInternetFiles via Windows Explorer. Find the movie/s by selecting "Size" or "Last modified" and Drag and Drop to wherever.

Unfortunately Mart, that didn't work either- the files don't seem to be there!!

P.S. By the way, how's NZ?

But there's a very cheap rate phone service via the internet available from TelecomNZ so guess who I'll be talking to later this week.....lol
Btw, are you assuming that the * * are like quotes and only putting .mov in the search box? You have to put in the whole lot...... *.mov*

Re: Technical Assistance required
Hi Mart
I managed to sort it out another way by starting at internet explorer and then going "Tools/Options/Temporary Internet Files/Settings/View Files"
Think that I had problems before because of the way that this machine had been configured.
Thanks anyway
Best wishes
