Digital camera > Laptop

Post by mart »

My bottom of the range (now) digital camera has an output to TV screen. Do any of you techies know what is needed for me to feed the output into my laptop?

Won't that add another level of processing to the image? I would prefer not to go via the TV.

I speak only as I find but my digital came with a lead with usb plug which goes into laptop. Software came on cd. Downloads straight to hd.

My hardware: Minolta Dimage and Mac ibook.

Check with your camera manufacturer, their must be a suitable lead. You can even plug digitals directly into the latest printers for prints.

I have checked this with the manufacturer (Agfa). THere is a camera to laptop USB connection (which I have) but this only works for recorded images not to show the view through the lens.
I have posted on a newsgroup and had a reply which I can check out tomorrow - it's Wellington Day today so businesses are shut except for those selling rubber footwear....lol.
