Congratulations Deuce. I just saw a TV news item about some train now running in your country. I hadn't realised that the iron horse has only just been introduced.
Does that mean that until now you have all had to travel by kangaroo?

Re: The Ghan-Adelaide to Darwin
Kangaroos are very difficult to mount
Camels & Donkeys are much easier but the preferred form of travel is the Sheep.....a very comfortable ride for us layed back types
The iron horse project cost a mint to make....but if it only gets half the freight Trucks off the road it will have been money well spent
We finally have a direct gateway to Asia instead of diverting via plane to Melbourne all the time
cheers

Re: Trains in Oz
When I first saw one of those iron horses me and my mate Ugg threw spears at it. Its skin is too thick - like us - and it breathes fire ! White men bring many strange things like pretty beads and these computers. We trade our teenage daughters for them. Is good.
