McCartney at Glastonbury

Post by Heathray »

What the fucq is Mr Eavis thinking about booking Mr Chip on both shoulders?
Surely Glasto is for new, alternative, indie and rock, not the old stagers like Mr Moneybags I'm a veggie so better than you!

He was in the Beatles for 7 years and apart from a few early Wings tunes has made bugger all for some 33 years.

He's welcome to visit Glastonbury: as long as he doesn't come within 500 parsecs of me, I'm perfectly happy....

Lets face it

Anything associated with the Beatles still pulls a crowd and makes a killing

Anything Mc Cartney puts out is greatfully received by the addicted fans living in the past

He's no better/worse than those hasbeens Fleetwood Mac who are currently touring Australia.

Most bands bypass Adelaide(where the Beatles started their world tour in 1964) but those passed their prime always pop-in to make a quick killing

cheers

Wasn't that Tony Hatch? Assisted by Jackie Trent (Mrs Hatch)?
Although it was of such unsurpassed awfulness I'm quite prepared to believe it was one of Macca's efforts: or perhaps written by Lady McC's wooden leg......she may have a tin ear, as well........
