Lcd tv used as a monitor

I've just bought an lcd tv instead of a tft monitor. It's great for tv and dvd but when I use it as a monitor for my p.c it's a total bag of wank. My pre-historic 14" monitor that I bought from Noah after his arc escapade is a lot better. Any suggestions?

Maybe you need to update the display drivers on your pc. see if your pc has picked up new hardware added, in control panel.

It says it has found new hardware and wants to install new drivers but no software came with the tv so I always click cancel. It sounds as though you may be correct Lizard. I'm not so hot when it comes to the pc side of things, have you any idea where I can obtain these drivers?

Coincidence! I read an item just yesterday and noted

Havn't tried them but worth looking at.

You should be able to use the drivers within windows, 98 and over, use the add new hardware wizard and see if windows can select the right drivers for you.

Been down that road many times, why won't the wizard find the drivers that you know are there?

The image i've got is a lot more stable now. I still can't get it right the colour red isn't working. Blue and green are fine. Any ideas?
