Whilst attending an engagement in London today, I happened to notice a Socialist Worker Party stall at a London underground station.
There was a huge poster going on about how Bush was the worlds number 1 terrorist.
I stopped to sign a petition against the retarded chimp and then had this Socialist woman desperately try to sign me up to "The Movement".
Gotta love that sales technique.

The main topic was what every newspaper seems to have covered.
The humiliation of the Iraqi prisoners.
Now you don't know who they are and neither do I, so I think we can stop the whole "Well they are enemy" bollocks straight away.
It's like the detainees as Camp X-Ray. After 3 years 4 15 year old boys were allowed to go free.
It means they were detained at 12. FUCKING 12!!!

Remember how the captured U.S soldiers had their faces shown on TV and the US went ape shit calling it a violation of the Geneva Convention?
Well what the fuck do they call the humiliating photos spread across the world pages?

The US has referred to the pictures as "Alleged" and to the abuse as "Alleged", well if a picture paints a thousand words, then I guess the US need to extend their vocabulary. Odd that while they denied the photos the soldiers in question were removed from duty or sacked...allegedly
Perhaps I'll go on the next Socialist Rally and see what it's all about.

I'd like to see justice served up on this and not the usual move the soldiers from one position to another with a slap on the wrist.

I totally agree that it makes a mockery of the uniform.

I would go one step further and say this makes a documented discrace of the human race. It depresses me that anyone from any part of the world can do this; but it has been shown to be true from all people from everywhere in any conflict.
Are we as a human race basically evil fuckers when the opportunity arises?
I would hope I would not be, but can any of us say we would not do the same if we'd seen our friends killed in front of us?
This sort of stuff really makes me question the human race, not a good thing the be thinking in my mind

A Serbian migrant said to me a few years ago that unless you've lived in places like the Balkans you can never understand the kind of hatred that exists there

Its been festering for centuries

Maybe it is true.....different cultures(in their entirety) cannot exist in harmony together

i didn't agree with this war and, in fact, marched against it on several occasions but at least with the deposing of saddam there was the hope that some lasting good might result from this high stakes folly.

Absolutely disgusting and vile. I don't just mean the pictures but if people care to click on the headers.

The annoying thing is that people just assume the pictures are part of mass propaganda and come out with the usual, "Well they must have done it themselves and are just blaming us."
I've heard that kind of bollocks on talk shows and read it in papers.
It's astounding just what you have to do to prove something.
Some bastard on Talk Sport last night phoned in and said:
"The soldiers could do whatever they wanted to get info out of suspects.. Host: "It's not an interrogation."
Halfwit: "How do you know. Was you there?"
Host: "They admit it wasn't an interogation."
Halfwit: "Ah but that's what they want you to believe"

The moron carried on for 5 or 10 minutes and then capped it with "I'm a pacifist."


I just keep thinking back to the shit that kicked off when captured coalition forcres had their faces shown on TV. There was an outcry! Yet that same voice of worldly freedom is silent right now.
