Still around, Magoo. Been lurking rather than contributing. The HIV related threads next door have rather sickened me---particularly those from the "bareback or I don't buy brigade," who don't mind other people putting their lives at risk for the sake of their wanking.

As for the off topic forum, there's been nothing I really felt the need to say anything about. Mostly, though, it was to prove to myself that I could go for a few days without posting---haha, I'm not an addict!

The Iraqi prisoners was one thread I was tempted to join in, but Holden pretty much summed it up. The Sunday papers are already claiming the pictures were mocked up---but where's the joke when people in dangerous places are being killed because Arabs don't understand squaddies' sense of humour. And I hope each and every one of them remember just how funny it was as the coffins are being loaded.

Every aspect of that war has failed, except in removing Hussein: there were no weapons of mass destruction, there is no unified movement crying out for a democratic government there, and now the "let's show the locals we're not a bad bunch" policy has been undermined by groups of sadists and lager louts.

Depressing or what? I'm going back to my cave for another week.

Do you mean me? I'm less 'anti' than I used to be (but not by much), after watching mucho Porn Francais, but I still find the prospect of a rubbered BJ faintly risible. And the HIV 'panic' I find silly- Bruce Barnard contextualised it rather nicely I thought in one post. And I notice no-one's stopped watching Hollywood's execrable action-films because of the high risks borne by stuntmen. And we'll still drive our cars despite the appalling death-rate on the rigs.

And stop being nasty to me- I am a protected species, and the WWFFN have told me I don't have to put up with it.
So watch it, or they'll set Charlotte Uhelnbroek on yer..........
