I watched this slag on Parkinson last night, usual shit questions and mundane answers.
Then Billy Connolly was on being his usual twat-ish self and Tom was doubled over with laughter at ANYTHING The Big Yin said. He never said anything remotely funny, but ol' Tom was crying laughing....or was he 'acting' so it LOOKED like he was laughing.
Either way, Billy was impressed that 'someone' found him funny.......which he hasn't been since about 1979

Re: Tom Cruise - EXCELLENT actor
im surprised tom could understand billy in the 1st place.
Re: Tom Cruise - EXCELLENT actor
Oh dear steve56. The point is he didn't have to understand a word. He was told that the jock was a funny man so he just laughed. He would have done that even if Billy, I'm a professional jock who was abused and can't help laughing at my own "jokes", had been reading the phone book.

Smooth cruise vs the big yawn
Tom was in full cruise mode, as expected, but he was alright for yer actual 'star'. Value for money then.
However, Connolly's butting in on Kelly Holmes' airtime (after already indulging in twenty minutes of piss-weak, self-regarding gags egged on by a fawning Parkie) was disgraceful.

Re: Smooth cruise vs the big yawn
I think Tom Cruise is an ok actor he was decent in The Last Samurai and Billy Connolly was in that so maybe they became 'friends' after working on that hence him laughing so much.
