Its been out for 3 months but just incase you've been like me and just clicking update on the older version I'd recommend using the newer version

Now comes with a 4 types of system scans

smart
full
customised and
scan volume for ads(which I have no idea about as yet)

I've downloaded it and its gone pearshaped. I get an error message in German about richedit which I believe is a .dll. WTF do I do now?
I'm tempted to just uninstall and forget it.

Uninstall and try another mirror site

I downloaded mine from here with no dramas in German



I know for a fact that my system is lacking a shitload of dlls
as i found out when i went to run CW shredder this morning

Most are easily found on google if you can get the english translation

I agree Adaware & Spybot (Search & Destroy) are doing a sterling job keeping my PC adware & spyware free.

Thanks to Lizard for initially adding them to his locker.

Thats where I downloaded it from. I've just done it again, I get the same error message, I've downloaded the missing .dll and it still doesn't feckin work. To hell with it, life's to short to stuff a mushroom!!!!

I had been using the old version and when I downloaded the SE Personal version I did a test. I ran the old version and eliminated all the trackers and stuff, then without visiting any websites I ran the SE version and found an extra 77 nasties !

Theres nothing wrong with using the Old Version

Same goes for the Old version of Spybot

They still get the job done and the stuff that they miss (due to the way they scan) is usually low grade stuff that doesn't have any effect on your surfing speed

If you want a definitive answer then I'd say posting the hijack this log to one of the forums below would be the go
