brunch with Frank Thring...
Met Up with my old friend,FRANK THRING last week, passing throu' London on his way back to Hollywood.
The meal was made all the more enjoyable by viewing 65 girls all willing to work, that he test shot on his camcorder in one of the Eastern Countries...Gentlemen,a delight to behold over one's toast.
BUT,coming back here is'nt his ideal business excerise-in fact,I will not repeat the E-Mail he send me on his return to California
of what he thought of the Porno business in G.B.
Why bother with this country at all...who can blame him!
My other point is-while the likes of TONY NOBLE (article below about ?1,500 model fees)is worrying about what camera he's using,
and how many lumps of sugar he takes in his coffee/tea,and telling you all about the fact,F.T.is already on the next plane to the tropics (yes, the Tropics)with a bevy of beauiful girls-then back & onto Asia, and then the South of France and so on,for HUSTLER.
...and anyway, everything is conducted on a low profile, why would the company want it's trade secrets broadcast to the nation on it's movements around the World.
You only know about that when the next release hit's the shops-
Oh,I forgot, the sharp pencil & scissors of a certain office in London's Soho Square..
As the American say "Wake up Great Britain'..sex is here to stay!
Best Wishes from Frank.(and Me)

Hi,Folks,
Of course,I cannot devulge the contents of the E-Mail that would'nt be ethical and contained business matters not for one's ears...
What I can say though,as an Englishman (which he is)living and working World wide out of the United States, the comparison with this country (GB) and European countries across the channel & pond,is huge.
Frank calls it the "backwater"of the sex industry...take for instance the report by the Euro internet Ad monitoring firm,LemonAd,had found that SEX was the most popular keyword used by advertisers in France,Germany,Italy and Spain.
Where did Britain come,yes,37 for UK internet users....what came top:-FORMULA 1,Health,Travel etc...it went on to say "we are very much repressed in our surfing habits"..
Other countries, your right..SEX is No.1 in the charts..
As F.T.said "when is this island going to wake up-it's the general malaise hanging over the country"
Of course, when you have a much travelled producer like him-then comes back occasionally to G.B.you must see the (non)changes. We still live in a 'Benny Hill'World of 'tittering' (no pun)of sniggering about SEX,censorship,rip-offs,and many other things to do with the business which I won't mention here unless upsetting people....(his words)
I'll let you make up your minds-BUT remember next time,FORMULA 1 (glee from a TV company)that you prefer this to SEX,then god help us all!Other countries think we are a joke-like an old seaside postcard, remarked Frank.
We need to move our SEX into the 21st.Century,FAST!
Those wanting to join the Q...report to your local airport and emigrate to see un-restricted PORN!
...Frank has spoken-fair comment!

Re: brunch with Frank Thring...
You don't need to bee a porn film maker to have valid opinions like that. Anybody who's travelled any of mainland Europe will see that we are still living in the 19th Century in many aspects of life, not just porn. As long as the Establishment continue to be scared of giving the people the freedom to think and behave (and be treated) like adults, this situation will never change in this country.

Why wait for freedom to be given - it seldom is. Just take it!

Re: brunch with Frank Thring...
I'm not sure if Mr Thring actually said anything intelligible hereabove: all can I gather are Mr Ward's opinions, or possibly his precis of mr Thring's, which are obvious and certainly not original.
Reading between the lines, if mr Thring wishes to make (doubtless very lucrative) Identikit US porno on some tropical isle, good luck to him, but let's not credit him with the originality he used to show in his Private days: some of this latter material is still amongst my all-time favourites.
I'm rather gratified, BTW, that Brit surfers do not confine themselves to 'Sex' in their searches: at least it's indicative of a breadth of interests rather than unidimensionalism.

Re: brunch with Frank Thring...
Why was Frank Thrings Lee Nover series so bad? I ask this because he has a reputation as being talented and has worked for some big names like Private so why make Lee Nover which was terrible?
