Files in reverse order

I have suddenly got a annoying problem with all my saved pics. Whenever I open a folder the pics are listed in reverse sequence. OK its not exactly life-threatening just irksome. I've posted the problem on the MS Windows98 Applications Newsgroup. In the meantime has anyone else encountered this problem?

You can arrange the items in the folder by clicking on view/arrange icons

5 options...size...name...date...type..auto

How it happened is anyones guess

Thanks Deuce. How do you find the answers so quickly while I am still trolling through hundreds of irrelevant search results. Maybe the knack is in asking the right question.
I'll never have a rude word to say about an Ocker ever again, well, not unless the opportunity is too good to miss.
Now I can settle down to watching LOTR 2 undisturbed on TV tonight. Cadbury have bought all the advertising slots and won't be using them. Nice one!

Trial & Error and knowing where the decent search engine/computer forums are located helps

Yes the way you phrase a search can make a difference
but I always use



because its search engine seems to have more flexibility than the others
Its the only one that ahs never come up with no results because of the way I have phrased a search

One of the so-called MS experts answered my query. Click on the "Name" column. Prat. Didn't he think I would have tried that? Anyway I had said I was looking for a solution that would rectify the problem en bloc rather than have to work on every single folder in several hundred.
I enjoyed not being rude or sarcastic, just telling him what the correct solution was.

As I found out when I bought my computer

The help line was staffed by people trained in the art of answering the phone and nothing more.No training what so ever and were expected to pick it up as they went on

I'm not talking about some spotty oick in PCWorld but one of the Microsoft recognized experts who answer queries on MS's various Newsgroups. At least it made a change from the stock reply to most of the reknowned glitches "Check for viruses". Oh no, it couldn't be anything wrong with the MS software.

To be fair to any call centre/help line computers are very much like the universe...the more you know the less your likely to think outside the square

Up yourself is the term most commonly used to describe this
