Touring again at some point next year
The following text is from
With former Bad Company and Free singer Paul Rodgers serving as frontman, Queen will kick off their first tour since singer Freddie Mercury died of AIDS in 1991. "It really all came about because of the Fender 50th anniversary gig that I did with Paul Rodgers," Queen guitarist Brian May wrote on his Web site. "We were both so amazed at the chemistry that was going on." May writes that they are looking at venues for a spring tour, which will likely begin in April.
Not entirely convinced as Mr Rodgers has got some big-ass shoes to fill.

Queen
We got both kindsa music here. We got Country and Western
Re: Queen
They have been touted as reforming with either George Michael, Robbie Williams or Paul Rogers for some time. I hated Queen, and even moreso, Brian May who tried to launch a solo career that flopped. Seems he can only hit the bigtime again if resurrecting the Queen name.
At least the quiet unassuming John Deacon isn't jumping on the band wagon......always underestimated as a bassist

Re: Queen
I like Queen , i think they could get away wid this tour! brian can still kick ass on thr axe, roger can still play the drums, but will the bassist be touring???? Jhon is bit of a recluse nowadays, The last time queen played they had( step in WHO bassist pino palladino (who is great) As for the new front man ?????? Let just see..
Call it QUEEN 2

Re: John Deacon
Indeed, Ace. John Deacon was an alleged financial wizard for Queen, who now seems content to privately rake in his share of the pot while May/Taylor carry on making fools of themselves in public (and as with REM - it's over, okay?). Very shrewd.
"Let's do it..."
Re: John Deacon
Last I heard about John was his distance from Brian and Roger when they were recording with Robbie and 5ive a few years back.
Always gets the thumbs up from me, especially his bass riffs for Under Pressure and Another One Bites The Dust

Re: John Deacon
They shouldn't reform, Freddie was the ultimate showman, no'one could replace him in Queen, when he died, that should have been it, they should leave it, all that business with those five & robbie ladyboys n all that was the final straw for me as a fan, at least the new "Queen, On fire ~ Live at the bowl" dvd shows them at their best, I'd rather watch that than see any line up without Freddie
"This one's for my man "T"...
& it's called Wish you were here"

Re: Reforming bands
Any band that reforms with original line-ups are thieving money grabbing cunts, as far as I'M concerned, they are whores.............and that goes for the Sex Pistols in 1996, even though I went to Finsbury Park to see the Filthy Lucre show.
KISS, The Who, Simon and Garfunkel, Eagles etc etc etc...........all sell out slags.
I MUST mention that no matter how much was offered to The Clash, they NEVER reformed, and after Strummers death, the band only appeared to collect an American award for the Hall of Fame, and dispite begging requests, they didn't play a note.
Nice one lads!!

Re: Queen
Maybe they are but then no one is forcing the punter to go along
The reformed bands that are really taking the piss are the ones that have 1 original member surrounded by session musos
Australia gets these sad acts which are nothing more than money spinning rip-offs.Adelaide gets bypassed by many of these "Dinosaur Acts"because we can't put enough bums on seats for their liking
Should be thankful for small mercies
cheers
