Character witnesses.

Post by mart »

STAR SEARCH: The defense's witness list for Michael Jackson's sex abuse
trial has been released, and it includes a plethora of singers, actors
and other notables: Elizabeth Taylor, Diana Ross, Jay Leno, Quincy
Jones, Kobe Bryant, Larry King, Deepak Chopra, Stevie Wonder and more
were on the 350-name list. (Los Angeles Times) ...Stevie Wonder is
particularly upset at being named. "Yeah I was there," he admits. "But
I didn't see anything!"

For any trial a character witness can only say what the
person is like from the experience they have.

I am sure MJ behaves in one way when he is around say
Elizabeth Taylor and another when he is surrounded by
a group of 10 year old boys.

Did anyone see "29 minutes of fame" on BBC1 last night.

They showed a wedding picture of Liza Minnelli's last wedding.

In the picture was LM, her husband who looked as though he
had a majpor face lift, Michael Jackson, and Elizabeth Taylor, who
looked awful.

As someone on the panel said 'Looks like a picture from the
Adams family'.

Here it is

All these famous "friends" ought to have been telling him he needed to seek help, instead of claiming their five minutes in the limelight saying what a great guy he is.

As Sean Locke said in 29 Minutes Of Fame (Yes, Guilbert, I did see it): "He had a funfair in his backyard! He couldn't have been dodgier if his house was made out of sweets."

Yes, they should've, assuming they were certain what was going on. Apparently one of his sisters warned him away from his 'little friends' after his first brush with the law and he simply cut her off.

Personally I'm rather hoping he's found guilty (and as cases go, this one's a donkey ride to hell). Not for the grubby ghoulishness of it all, but so the sad, tragic figure at its centre can face up to what he's become. The start of the help he needs perhaps?

It was quite tragic last week seeing a clip of him during the Off The Wall era. How did that talented person turn into the scary mannequin that now masquerades as Michael Jackson.

He really does need help---but when you're at the top of your profession, rolling in cash and idolised by unquestioning fans, how likely are you to listen to the voice of reason?

I rather like the comment attributed to, of all people, Jordan:

"Is he a pervert? I don't know, it's just a shame he spent all that money to look like one"
