Hi,
Take a look at this story where a woman bashes her bloke causing a fractured skull, bruising to the brain, broken ribs...........
Then look at the part where she gets a 3 year community rehabilatation order.
Things like this make me sick. If that had been a bloke inflicting those injuries on a woman then I've no doubt that he'd have got (and quite rightly) serious time for it.
But a woman does it to a bloke and she walks.
Now I don't feel sorry for the bloke as it sounds like he's a violent person himself and the two of them sound as though they deserve each other and any bloke who bashes the crap out of a woman is a tosser in my book.
But come on be fair. Surely if a bloke would get banged up for it then so should a woman.
Any comments?
Domestic violence in reverse

Not defending this story, but Pennant got off lightly. He was already under a previous ban when he was nicked, and he perjured himself by claiming to the police that his loss of control was due to adjusting the nav system of the car he was in, which belonged to Anthony Gardner of Spurs. No sympathy for any scumbag who drinks and drives.
Re: O/T drink-driving
Hear-hear, Chatterji.
We had a case up here just this week, a tosspot banned for life who lost control of the car while four times over the limit and killed a nine-year-old girl standing outside a shop.
As far as I'm concerned, anyone who drinks and drives and takes someone else's life as a result should be looking at a jail sentence of at least ten years.
Back to Eduardo's original point, the law should be the same for everyone no matter what sex, religion, colour or whatever. Mitigating circumstances can be considered (if for example a battered woman turned around and battered her abuser, I'd say good on her). But domestic violence, though mainly perpetrated against women, isn't exclusively a male crime.

not quite a balanced article, it omits the fact that in court it was stated that the kid ran out into the road and any driver would have had 1.2 seconds to stop. All the other factors had nothing to do with the death, that's why the sentence was so low.
not sure what waiting on an asylum appeal has to do with the case either

I'll never understand what motive drives people to stay in destructive relationships-desperation or stupidity?
Nice touch using a Wooden Buddha as a Weapon
Still we shouldn't be surprised at a women beating up a man given the basic difference is just 20 percent in strength.Add in the fact that the attack was unexpected and its easy to see how it could happen
Domestics really are the worst
Ask any Police Officer what event they'd last like to attend
cheers
