BBC News - Do They Tell The Truth?

Post by Steve R »

I was watching the BBC's breakfast news recently and I was surprised to hear it claimed that fewer dogs are to be seen on Britain's beaches than in years gone by.

I must say I was quite taken aback by this as my wife and I spent some considerable time by the seaside on the Isle Of Wight last summer and I beg to differ.

I saw some right hounds, I can tell you.

I think they lie by omission more than telling direct lies ... some news stories don't seem to reach the BBC until a day or so after the rest of the world, probably because certain themed items need to go through the internal censoring/vetting procedures. Other stories never really get a mention, but somehow hit the headlines in Holland and Germany. the only thing you can do is get your news from a variety of sources and make your own mind up as to what is real news and what is coloured by the politics of the country reporting it. I do object to paying a license fee to the cosy BBC so they can serve up a multitude of crap on TV, radio, internet, satellite etc.

Give me BBC news over Sky news anyday. At least the BBC tries to be impartial while Sky is blatantly rightwing. Sky news is dumbed down news for sun readers.

BBC is blatantly left wing...guardian reading upper middle class liberal university tossers. Threy hate the Blair government for being too right wing and pro american. Impartial they are not.
