VHS clearout/disposal - Any ideas
Since VHS *may* no longer be at the technological cutting edge (so I'm informed), I'm wondering what to do with a fairly substantial stash of tapes. I don't want to throw them out but may have to. I'd sell obviously but DVD seems to be ubiquitous. Anyone know any good forums/sites for sale/exchange. At this stage I'd trade them for absolutely anything (ie, non-porn related)
Re: VHS clearout/disposal - Any ideas
Bin them...pull the tape out & cut with a pair of scissors.Sex is disposable like yesterday's newspaper.
The thrill has gone of hoarding.Anyway,DVD's are in (until the next invention).

If they are not porn
And if they are retail tapes and not off-airs, you could try donating them to the local library or hospital (kids tapes would go down a storm there).
Re: If they are not porn
...and if they are non-porn on-air recordings there are lots of people on www.tv-ark.org.uk who collect, research and maintain libraries of stuff avidly - try their forum (availablilty of a lot of old tv shows, adverts, links etc depend on these people rummaging through old vhs and beta tapes - practically all the downloads available on that site and others are down to that method)
And if not, that site is guaranteed to give hours of amusement anyway...

I've donated many of mine to Oxfam and The PDSA. They flog 'em for ?2.99 and they always seem to go.
I don't mind this as theya regoing to a good cause. It makes you feel good knowing you've done your bit.
