It would appear that the section in the FAQ regarding abusive language can be overlooked at the discretion of the moderators. If I had made that post it would have been deleted as this one probably will be. It makes me angry to think that I had a post deleted once for contradicting (in a polite manner) a poster who was insulting some barely literate bloke who asked her a question. The behind the scenes agendas on here make Tonys Cronies in New Labour seem like amatuers. RULES SHOULD APPLY TO EVERYONE. And that means if a certain young woman uses verbal abuse she should be informed of her mistake like the rest of us-instead of deleting my polite reply pointing out that verbal abuse. I learned from my mistake but others have not. A certain individual (I know who she is and she knows who I am) has been emailing people saying that I am a troll. Luckily these people know me well enough to know that I am not. I would have happily emailed her to explain but was not given the chance. She made a mistake by emailing a couple of freinds of mine to slag me off. They thankfully told her she was wrong. She then realised her mistake. And its all peace and love now.

what agendas would they be and how do the posts by marcus that HAVE been deleted, fit into this paranoid scenario? as alec has pointed out in the past, we are not a bunch of technicians in white coats calibrating every action we undertake to the nearest nanometer.

i happen to be in the middle of redecorating my flat at the moment and that, among other things, is consuming much of my spare time. alec and phil may also be preoccupied with other stuff, irl but due to the unscientific nature of our working practices, i couldn't tell you for sure! the fact is, some days we will be more on the ball than on others because circumstances permit it and as the forum gets busier over time, it isn't going to get any easier.

it's a shame you chose not to send us an email pointing out what you saw as an unjust inconsistency, on our part. we would certainly have replied to you, possibly even accepting your point, but then you couldn't have made your melodramatic statement about agendas and tony's cronies to an aghast public. what the final bit about 'a certain individual' has to do with the way the forum is run, i'm not sure.

if i sound pissed off it's because i am. do you honestly believe that alec, phil and myself have a deliberate policy of treating the hoi-polloi like dirt, whilst letting the porn 'elite' of marcus, phil et al, tread their muddy boots throught the forum with impunity? how long ago is it since you last had a post deleted in anger?

when one of our most regular posters makes snide insinuations about the integrity of the site, on the basis an incident that went down a year ago, you wonder why we even bother.
