Does anyone know when the World Cup tickets will go on sale - knowing my luck they probably have already gone on sale - and if each individual is limited to a certain number of tickets per game?

as far as I can tell you can only get 'official' tickets by being a member of the FA supporters group ie. no chance.
I think the general ones go on sale in germany next may, check the fifa website

The general tickets sold out in march. The england travel club tickets go on sale in December
