film title help

Ok heres one for the film buffs out there.
A few years ago i remember seeing a film (possibly two different films) where a guy had a typewriter that he kept getting rid of only for it to keep coming back - it was a horror film and this typewriter was involved.
I also remember something about a guy with a video slot in his stomach that he kept putting video tapes in - anybody have any ideas or has my brain made all this up due to my mental student days?

I did think it may be that one but couldnt find any reference to the typewriter thing i also remember - that must be a different film then.

And the typewriter one is another Cronenberg film 'Naked Lunch' - (I think, not too sure on this)
