A quick look at the entertainment pages of the BBC news site reveals that former Shadows drummer Tony Meehan has died.

good drummer made a few records with jet harris from the shadows,had a column in penthouse in the 70s.

I've not been reading my papers lately, tut-tut, but Richard Burns as well? Sweet Jesus. I know he passed out at the wheel a few years back, but I thought he was making good progress with the brain tumour, and that he would make a comeback.... a great shame. RIP.
