I would say the downright horny as thats the only time I would watch one unless me missus invites me round!
To be honest though, I'm not into the big production ones as I'd rather watch a normal film than watch the porn industry trying to be serious or dramatic. Porn to me is a thrill. I'm happy with just a bit of a build up story... i.e. some poor unsuspecting fella minding his own business one afternoon, buys a paper from the shop, starts walking back home, see's some bird waving from a window, goes to see whats the matter and accidently walks into a full blown lesbian orgy and then gets dragged into it for the next hour! Mind you I'm easily pleased come to think of it...

Ive only heard of a few of those.....I would go along with Aunt Peg though. That was one of the first films I ever saw. I must have been a smutty 16 year old when I saw that! I think a mate of mine got hold of a copy, in fact it was his brother's. They were one of the first lot round our way who had a video recorder. This would have been maybe '83 or '84. They had a few tapes - all dodgy copies of course - Swedish Erotica and Color Climax films. They would have been my introduction to pornos so I would put them in the list. I can still recall some of those scenes even now! That kind of thing tends to leave an impression! I always fancied Vanessa Del Rio too. She was dirty.

Don't really know much about the rest of the 80s. Did it all dip somewhat with the aids scare of the time?
90s Porn - This is where it all splits into different genres in my own opinion.
1. 90s version of the 70s lot - i.e. Sydnee Steele, Jenna Jameson, Anna Malle, Ariana etc. Films with vague storylines cut short with lots of rampant sex. Usually about nurses or air hostesses or nightclub owners. Then you have the series films like Strap On Sally where the character (like aunt peg) takes over. Mainly all feature very buxom (enhanced) women who, like their 70s counterparts, seem to enjoy it just for the fun of making a porn movie. Does get boring after awhile though with the many new titles each studio churns out each year.
2. European porn - Boring Private productions shot on some beach in soft focus or set in some german castle. This is where anal sex seems to be all anyone ever does or using a full jar of vaseline so they can shove a fist up there. The women look like they've just left finishing school. Very young and very pretty of course. Sometimes wear gimp masks or rubber gloves - maybe its because they have to do the washing up afterwards who knows?! There is the odd one which is good and the odd discovery - Monique Covert, Silvia Saint etc. On the whole everyone seems bored out of their minds. The pay must be good though. Then there's the Dolly Buster productions, Videorama, Magma, Puaka etc - Dirtier, and more specialised. Serious porn. Each company usually makes the same type of film and uses the same pool of actors......or swingers, whoever they are.
3. The Independant Porn companies. Worldwide. The nasty stuff! In your face close ups of fannies, arseholes, pricks, tongues, nostrils etc. Looks like a spy-hole camera was used. Some feature raving nymphomaniacs (mainly german) who can't get enough of everybodys bodily fluids. This can sometimes be very raunchy (the odd Puaka title). It can also be quite unpleasant too (most of John Thomson's GGG stuff) . Usually uncredited or go by just a first name. Unfortunately the advent of gang-bang films means most of the screen is filled with hairy arseholes from the male performers which puts you off bothering with them again. Nowadays called the Gonzo feature. There are literally millions of these films made.
4. The UK. Ben Dover, Cathy Barry, Angel Long etc etc etc. I would say Ben Dover started some of the gonzo style. A mix of humour and some scorching scenes make them worthwile. Approaching women for a shag and getting away with it! Cathy Barry's films are always a joy. Again a mix of humour etc. Even the horror ones! Fun porn again! Throw in the mighty Angel Long and its back to being 16 again! Waheyy!
5. The US style. Anabolic/Diabolic etc. Lets get a crew of jocks and black basketball player types with oversized dicks to shag every 5ft runaway waif in the states and make sure most of the time its up her ass. Anyway mate, Ive got a few porn films at home and wouldn't know which one to start with as far as voting in a collection. I quite like them all. I tend to get rid of ones I'm bored with or didn't enjoy much. Several I'd go for would be....Vanessa Del Rio's Oral Assets, Aunt Peg, Strap On Sally 1&2, Perversity In Paris, UK Vice girls 2 and a couple of Puaka german one's which are really good. Also Christophe Clark's done a few good things but they're usually spread across a few of his titles. There's always at least one shite scene in his films usually featuring some twat from the Rocco mob.
Sounds a good wheeze anyway to set up a definite list.
