live footie

Post by davewells »

Techie question here. How do I get the live footie on me PC. I've just been to Bowlers (the largest comp trade fair in North West) and as usual a couple of stands had a live game on - West Ham v Bolton. Upon asking how, I was told that there are two ways. The right dish and set top box or a thing called starbox II which is a plug-in for the computer. I'm not sure it's that easy is it ? What else do I need or does anyone know the best device (via the PC remember) to watch the live football ?

It might plug in to your PC (via USB) but the Starbox II still requires the right dish. System requirements: Digital Satellite Dish & LNB

So you're right, it's not quite as easy as they might have made it seem.

No idea how to get it on your PC but for a dish then the Spanish channel Via have two 3pm Sat games and god knows how many others.

I've asked before and it can be had over here but with the dish, receiver etc, I was looking at somewhere between ?650-?1,000 so decided against it due to cost.

I can't believe the price on this: it's dirt cheap. Don't understand how they can make it pay at under ?9 for lifetime membership! Any catches/tricks I'm missing?

That's exactly why I want it at home on my comp. I cannot stand going into smelly pubs with nearly drunk yobbos smoking anymore. It's disgusting and extremely unhealthy.
