The famous photographer was killed at 10.30am on Saturday morning at the level crossing at Barnes Common,West London.Hit by a Windsor line train at high speed.
I know the crossing well,hardly used by traffic,especially at that time of the day.Lovely part of town used by dog lovers..
We wait the official verdict.

I don't know much about photographers, so when I know a name, it must mean their work stands out above the others.
I knew Bob Carlos Clarke's name, so he must have stood out.
He was in a Channel 4 (or 5) documentary a few years ago, following him as he shot the Loaded calender.
I remember a very sexy girl/girl shot in a cafe he did for it, a cut above the stuff you get in "lads mags" now.
He will be missed.

Very sad news indeed, he epitimised B&W Erotic photography.
I got into him in 1990 with 'White Heat', a book of Marco Pierre White (The BEST ever chef) at work.
I saw some of his work in Amateur Photography and was very keen to obtain an original, so I contatced his studio/gallery and was quoted from ?900+ for an original. I had NO idea of what the 'going rate' was and this did shock me. I contatced Ilford whom Bob endorsed their films and asked for some advice detailing my keeness to obtain some of his work.
To my GREAT suprise, Ilford sent me 2 limited edition prints both signed by BCC on Ilford embossed paper. About 3 months after that, Practical Photography Magazine were selleng these at ?30 each with a limit on 1 per house hold. They were a run of 250 and mine are still rolled up in their tube from 1992.
Many imitators have tried, but there was only ever 1 genius.

Nope - only announcement I have seen has been on here and on his website (the link I posted above). I find it staggering that it has not been reported, it's not as if he is a talentless hack.
