Last year just before the election he came up (our) money for British Leyland salaries , didn't want upset workers just before an election!!!.

Last year he subsidised pensioners poll tax, but not this year, oh no general election this year.......

When the hell is the next general election........

I really cannot understand the set up of this country, i think we will end up carrying the whole of the world soon on our taxes.

I think Gordon Brown will go down in history as one of the WORSE chancellors we have had for a long time. Most of the economy's good points have come from the bank of england with interest rates and in early years the housing market.

IF Brown becomes PM i think the Labour party is finished, and i think Blair knows that to, I just hope someone will stand against Brown and call him to account, hard working families....ha ha....all the money i see being spent is on pay increases and pensions for the public sector.

YES I know Maggie had her faults, BUT she stood for lower tax, smaller goverment, smaller NHS and let the people spend their money how they wanted to.....

All i know is that as soon as i earn enough money to piss off and leave it all behind, the better. This USED to be a great country, now its being pillaged, broken down and abused.

I agree with some of your points but Gordon Brown Arse is selling off billions of pounds worth of OUR assets, as he said in the budget to raise money for " hard working families now"............OK Gordon, nice one, but what do the future generations have to look forward too........ AND we won't even get the chance to buy into the dream ( like the 1980's sell offs)

Maggie may have sold some of the family silver but Gordon Brown Arse has now completed the task BUT not generating anything of value for the future generations.

Unlike the sell offs in the 80's, BT is better than before, Brit Airways is a world admired company, Brit gas and BP pay more money in corporation tax towards helping the country. etc. etc. etc.......

But the assets hes announced he is selling, property and land, will be purchased by large development companies, land will be built on and tax paid for that year...and thats thats !!!! No long term plan which i feel sums up the New Labour Project.
