New Labour selling UK gold reserves

We can all be critical of the Tories in the 1980's selling off the likes of BT, B Gas, BA etc. but "old one eye" has achieved his claim to fame !!

Since 1999 New Labour has sold 50% of the UK's gold reserve, most in the 2001/2002 years. He said this was to give us all a first class NHS.

Gold is now being traded at an all time high, as concern grows with the middle east, Iraq and iran.

Nice one Gordon Brown you have robbed the Uk with not only security in the physical gold but lost us all 100's of millions of pounds !!!!! I don't think even Thatcher would have dared sold this.

Guess who purchased most of the gold ?????????????????

Nothing about Gordon Brown adds up his figures certainly dont and he would love to see petrol at ?5 a gallon or more because it will bring him in more revenue and get him out of the shit.

I heard about this a while ago. It's a double whammy, firstly because of the high gold price that we're currently unable to take advantage of because the tosser sold so much of our gold in order to try and balance his books, but also because of what happens when someone dumps a load of gold onto the market like he did a few years back: the price drops.

I think if the PM stands down for any reason, there should be a General Election.

The example of un-elected Gordon (Mr Africa) Brown leading the country (the UK that is!!!!) is a very good reason for implementing this rule.

Great idea, but it'll never work...........it would give the public (aka governments paymasters) to much say................. don't forget this country is GB's (Great Benefits or Gordon Browns.....you pick)
