DRM has been finally cracked

Yes folks there is now a piece of software that will strip the keys from WMV files. Of course its not a simple as installing the software you need a certain set of 'Hotfixes' removed and a certain version of WMP, but it works providing that you own the DRM'd file. And it does leave you ID in the file so even if you do share you can still be found out - but it works.

Will be intetresting to see what Microsoft does now.


And unless you are a Producer with DRM'd content (and can prove it if I am not aware of you) don't even ask.

Most companies who use WMV don't use their DRM as it long been know to be poor protection, there is many other ways,

Old news Jacques. DRM was cracked a few months after it came out. What a bloody waste of time and expense.
