very underated singer i recall in about 1989 i ws in a 2nd hand record shop a tape of his was being played,iwas impressed it was the old gene pitney song somethings gotten hold of my heart.ithink red right hand is a great song quite eerie lyrics to it too.

All in all arguably a patchy catalogue, but when it's good it's great. I like most of the cover versions on 'Kicking Against The Pricks' and more recently the double cd (can't recall the name but it had 'Nature Boy' on there) was uniformly good.
