Can anyone recommend the best form of advertising in order to drive traffic to one's website and what are the best deals?

Before you start advertising I would suggest that you redesign your site to at least make sure that you have all the tags in place.

Mike , there is no better way then links, they rule!, a tip though if I may, your site is impossible to access for a 56k,er, as the graphics are massive, and even on a standard 2meg bb connection is very slow to load.
Have you thought about re designing it using thumbs etc....then try and do recipricate links to as many sites as you can.

I must admit my ignorance about "tags"! I assume they are what search engines hook onto. I will have to start reading the Dreamweaver tutorials.

Hi Lizard,

My site is mainly intended for Broadband users who want VOD. I have accessed it on Broadband and found that it loads up okay. However now that I am connected using a mobile at 56k and I see that it is a bit slow!

As for galleries I must admit that as a porn connoisseur I hate them. Waiting for each pic to load is intensely irritating for me and I must prefer to control the way surfers see my site by scrolling and that is the way I like to see sites myself although the galleries are ubiquitious.

I could try to make each page smaller and I will take your advice and and start soon. I don't really like links much either because I don't like much of the content that I find on them.

I really want to concentrate on driving traffic to my own site and advertising is what I have in mind.
