Java
I have the latest version of java but I can't get it to work on anything.Does anyine know how to get it working?Thank You.
Re: Java
Could be any number of things?
"I can't get it to work on anything" doesn't help much.
Is your browser crashing?
What browser are you using?
Do you see redex or grey box?
Are your security settings low enough to enable java?
If you are using IE do you have the MS JVM option ticked?
Download and install from a physical file rather than 'Run' from location, it's more stable.

Re: Java
My security settings are on medium and I have always been able to get Java in the past and I have checked that I have got the latest version of Java, now I get a black box come up with a red cross in the top left hand corner with the message you need Java for this to run.
I realize my first message was vague.
Also I do have the MS JVM option ticked,My browser is not crashing.

Re: Java
Tools > Internet Options > Advanced Tab
Uncheck all MS JVM boxes (under Microsoft VM)
Check Java (Sun) 'Use JRE 1.5.0_10 for (requires restart)'
Click 'Apply' > 'OK'
Next:
Start > Control Panel > Java Control Panel (easier to see in Classic View)
Double click to open
On 'General Tab' click 'Network Settings'
Make sure 'Use Browser Settings' is checked. If it is not, then check it and hit the 'OK' button to save your changes.
Click 'OK' again.
Close all browser windows that are open and then restart.
