.....so, I genuinely ask: are we talking too much football??

It can be saved for our mates, the pub, or indeed playing- or attending- matches.

I know there are a lot of ardent fans here, fair enough.... but with it being mentioned last night that we could be talking about other things, are we talking too much about the beautiful game?

I'm contributing to a lot of football posts of late, and if footie threads are pissing folk off, then I feel I'm perpetuating it!!

PS. The UEFA Cup final was a cracker!

Nah, we have 12 months of 'bang babes', 'babecast', 'babestation', 'british girls are cold', 'how many times have you tossed off?', 'guns & drugs are the future', 'blair/barrymore/just about everyone is a cunt', 'the uk has gone to shit', 'we live in a police state', 'we're all fucked', 'the jocks are sponging off english taxpayers', the english are nicking our oil', 'i hate bush', 'i love saddam',................and all the other tripe we love so dearly!

A few footy threads on an OT forum and people are threatening to jump off buildings, and jump in front of trains!

Don't worry about it fudge; things will bance themselves out pretty sharpish !grin!

Good point Mr baggieb....after all, the O/T forum has been going for ages, and there's been many a varied discussion about all sorts of subjects! It's up to all the people who don't want to contribute to footy posts to create their own posts about whatever the heck they wish to discuss! After all, even the most avid football fan can talk about other things! A quick search of my own posts will confirm this!

But you are a wise owl. I got my Owl qualification a few years back, and adopt the same stance. If there is a topic not to like, be it of any subject, don't join in*. Simple, as you say.

The OT is like life itself- people have opinions, good people come and go, there are a lot of things we don't want to hear. I suppose it's about embracing these facts, and being tolerant of change.

I've had a good greet at some posters, I know, but in exceptional circumstances (like when OEJ got some racist shite from a cretin) it's more than justified.
