Katie Holmes is threatening legal action against an actress who changed her name to Katee Holmes and said she plans to lose her virginity in a porn movie.

The fashion student, 18, is due to star in the adult film later this year and has announced one scene will see her have sex for the first time.

Shy Love, who is managing Katee and is experienced in the porn industry, defended the move: "She's using the name as a tribute to Katie, who has always portrayed innocence in whatever she has done."

However, a spokesman for the original Holmes, who is a devout Scientologist and strives to be morally upstanding, said she did not see it that way.

"It's a really cheap shot," he commented. "Obviously Tom would support Katie in anything she decides to do about it."

Morally upstanding and scientologist don`t belong on the same page, let alone sentence. Wasn`t she a devout catholic who didn`t believe in premarital sex?
