As someone living on the Surrey/Greater London border, I've noticed a definite decrease in the numbers of Police patrols since we switched from Met to Surrey a few years ago.
Our local police station is manned only by Community Support Officers and the next nearest is so woefully understaffed that they are now only open from 8.00am till 8.00pm during the week and completely closed on a Sunday!!!
Thankfully burglars also only operate during these hours!!! !furious!
