The metric system, like soccer, has been poised to take off here in the colonies for 3 decades or more. Only place it has made inroads outside a medical setting is the liquor business, where the Feds rammed it down our throats. No one complained tho as a fifth is almost exactly 750 ml., & a liter is a bit larger than a quart (hic).Beer stayed the same, ounces.
