Photography and Real Ale

Post by nikonman »

After visiting studios in both Birmingham and Leicester i can recommend the following hostelries to any real ale drinkers to sample after the shoot.
Out of the Vaults in Leicester
The Wellington in Birmingham

As i hope to travel to other parts of the country i would be interested if readers of this forum have any other recommendations

A doctor writes:
We do not recommend the combination of alcohol and photography, as
people have been known to come to a very sticky end or end up looking
very silly and feeling a little negative.

If you find your self in Leicester again, this used to be a nice little "Real ale" pub

I used to work in a bar/cafe just around the corner from it. We used to pop in now and again for the quiz night.

And as im sure Ace will have realised if he happens to be reading this, its just round the corner from this place

Also worth a visit....if you into that kinda thing

Cheers

I forgot to add The Criterion to the list
Great pub for real ale and the pizzas.
I have not been to The Charlotte but do go to The Musician

Never thought I'd read a review for the Wellington on here! The finest city pub in the country!

Ahhhh the pizzas!!

Im off work this week,so might take a drive over and look a few people up over a pint and a pizza!!

Should you ever find your self in my current neck of the woods. This is meant to be one of the finest pubs in the country

All though to my eternal shame,I have to admit to never sampling its delights. When ever I tell any one where im living now,the usually ask if I go there though (of course I always lie and say yes)

Cheers
