Decent Cover versions

Post by Ace »

I'm sure we've done this one as well, but there are some decent covers of classic songs, you ALL know I'll cite 'Police and Thieves' by the almight Clash, but there are others too........

Cats in the Cradle (Harry Chapin) by Ugly Kid Joe is a belter
Redemption Song (Bob Marley) by Joe Strummer is very poignant to me as it was one of Joes last sessions recorded

The West London of my youth is now on dvd

All Along The Watchtower is indeed a classic by Jimi, and dare I say it, even U2 on their Rattle and Hum album.

I agree, 'Walk on by' is fantastic! Also, 'I fought the Law' by The Clash of course (!), 'Make me smile (come up and see me)' by the Wedding Present - not forgetting 'My Way' by Sid Vicious to name a few off the top of my head...

I can resist everything except temptation!
