Blasts from the past

Post by andy at handiwork »

What's with the very old topics coming up in all 3 forums but with no new postings on them?

I think what's happened is someone is bumping them up and attaching an off-FAQ tag which then the Mods delete, but the thread remains up.

But why?

I agree with Andy- one thread had no new post since 2005? So why bump it up?

Now and again maybe, but there are loads of them. And as they often dont have the new posting that bumped them up with them they aren't much of an assistance.

Because the Mods have deleted the new posting but the original thread remains.

It would be interesting to know what it is about the posts that resurrect the ancient threads that the mods object to.

They must have infringed the FAQ's.
