Ewan McGregor looked bored shitless in the newer Star Wars films, zero charisma, doesn't cut it in big films, more suited to off the wall stuff like Trainspotting.

Hey I like Ewan McGregor. I think he is a talented chap and did the Obi Wan role very well. he incorporated some subtle things from Alec Guiness that I really liked...Like the smug little quiet laugh to himself in the lift with Anakin....Its the little things and attention to detail that I liked.

Ewan rocks hard man!

You didn't purchase his 'elephant love medley' with nicole kidman by anychance? If so destroy immediately for your own sanity

Those 2 travel docos where he motocycled across europe and played swattsies with mossies in some jungle were quite an eye opener to the real person

hard to judge anyone by their onscreen persona given that their acting

All up he seemed pretty down to earth to me

Judging every venture on its merits is a very sensible stance to take

Hero worship is pure self-delusion

Give him his dues, anyone who can work under George Lucas and come out with reputation intact as he did is talented.

Working for Lucas just about finished poor Liam Neeson off.

My problem with McGregor (and he is a really good guy) is that he's failed to come close to living up to his potential. His choice, of course, and one that others (notably Albert Finney) made before him.

Liam got off lightly but comparing his before & after star wars
does seem to say your right

Not quite as bad as the tag of least convincing onscreen couple forever? portman & christensen

I think its a bit unfair to compare actors of the past with todays crop
Getting compared to Alec Guiness can only be unhelpful

Different era totally and when you watch a classic from yesteryear the differences are stark
