I am trying to edit a DVD but my editing system will not play the Dolby soundtrack. Can anyone recommend a good system for editing DVDs?

Re: editing DVDs
I've been here - I assume you want to edit the .VOB files from a DVD.
My route is to use TMPGenc DVD author to create a plain MPEG2 file.
Then edit with your favourite program - I use Womble MPEG video Wizard.
Now recreate the DVD from the edited MPEG2 file.
I use TMPGenc DVD author with Dolby add in.
If no interactive menus on the DVD - i.e. you want the DVD to load and automatically play - reauthor with DVD Shrink.
Never been an issue for my requirements but I'm not sure if any Dolby sound effects are lost going from Dolby back to MPEG2.

Sparky,
You have lost me! I have had one of my old films transferred to DVD by conversion.
What software do I need?
Confused.

Hi.
Use Adobe Encore.
There are a few others on the market that are good too, Ulead DVD Workshop 2 and Sony DVD Architect.
All the best.
