I'm probably a little outside your terms of reference, being stuck on top of a large piece of steppe in central Asia that may or may not have oil underneath it. Nevertheless my American bosses want to keep me here until we strike paydirt or else ruin their cashflow so badly that they have to invite Arthur Andersen to audit the accounts. In the meantime we are fed a diet of wholesome all-American nonsense like Ally Beal and occasional pornflicks in which the women have melons for tits, complete with livid scares underneath. Malik, my Kazakh buddy, says that if he sees another of these Vivid productions he will have to slaughter one of the family goats in atonement. It's that serious. So, friends, tell me where to go, and what I should buy on my next trip back to the "civilised" West. My big Siberian friend Spartak says that he doesn't want to see anything with Miss Barry in it, and I agree with him. I always agree with Spartak, but this time I saw some pictures of Miss Barry in " The Star" and I really agree with him. As I said before you have carte blanche. Give me some names, some ideas. Cathy, please don't think that I was having a go at you. Being so popular you were an easy target. I've just seen your masterpiece Cathula and enjoyed it hugely, as did Malik who strangely has retired to the herd of goats. We don't see him for days at a time.
