Downloading making mail-order redundant ?

Post by penbat2003 »

You can download near DVD quality complete porn films from Edonkey in particular, for free but also Kazaa. They are often DivX rips. However the choice is fairly limited and even with broadband it can take ages to download beacsue of the way that edonkey works.

But in theory if a pay site offers a good range of DVD quality complete films i would much prefer to download from the net to save all the mail order hassle and for cheaper prices.

Once downloaded the film can be kept on the hard drive or burnt to a read/write DVD drive which are getting increasingly cheap these days.

I suppose one reason why porn companies are not too keen to do this is that the films can be duplicated endlessly. Also having broadband is essential.

Have to agree. If you know where to look their is an endless supply of porn out there.

To get some idea goto www.isonews.com and the adult section. Basically site just lists whats released by "groups" each day. Its very scary indeed the quantity of films.

But divx now have pay per view that seemingly hasn't been cracked so you can rent a film to your hard drive. Watch it for some 30 days then the encryption ticket expires and hence you can't watch the film anymore.

I think thats maybe one way the market will end up. Encrypted films you rent either for a time limited period or for life. There is talk of a commercial divx player like a dvd???

As vid replaced cinemas will the web replace vids/dvds? Interesting question - and I think it is happening to a degree. I doubt dvds will ever vanish completely - but with the rise of broadband the more intelligent companies and stars are taking the web more seriously.

Start thinking about the consequences for the whole business and it all gets a bit mind-boggling. Think about the consequences for the distributors and we can all have a smile! Predictions - too dodgy, but it'll be intereting I have no doubt!

Gosh there is one hell of a lot on isonews. But i seem to be missing something. It refers to films being downloadable as 2 VCDs but all the links go to retail sites.

Presumably VCD is quite good quality but not as good as DVD.

By the way, do you know where i can find downloads (preferably free) of full-length BDSM/spanking/femdom/watersports/fetish type porn films on the net ? I couldn't see any of these on isonews.

ISONews to remain legal only shows you what is available but not where to get the films in question. They also remove any cd keys from the nfo files.

That way they can remain a great resource for knowing what, in theory, is out on the internet without making themselves a target for prosecution.

The magic part is being able to find the films it says are released on a daily basis. And to date i have had no real success other than via pay sites.

If any lucky person is more knowledgeable maybe they will let me/us all know ;-)

Mail order will only be redundant when the older generation who love their VHS cases and tapes disappear.Magoo,JJ anybody else lol

Not to mention when everybody is internet surfing on broadband-a long way off.

The fact that you still have too hunt for this porn on the net is a major drawback compared to the online option.

Buttsie,

Never mind VHS. I still have a few betamax tapes.

I also think it is far more relaxing to sit back and watch a film on a nice big flat tubed widescreen TV than hunched over a keyboard. PC`s are great for info and communicating but I reckon you cant beat a good old fashioned cathode ray tube (thats a tv btw-for all you computer nerds) for a proper veiwing experience. Computer screens are rounded and the wrong shape for veiwing films. They suffer from glare and the picture ratio is wrong.

I think "old" means anyone over 22. I am not as old as you Buttsie but I still find a lot of the computer jargon mentioned completely confusing. And so does my grandads mate JJ. No offence JJ. The thing is where does one learn about all this techy stuff? Its funny I now loads about digital comms, radio spectrum usage, satellite and yet I know fuck all about PCs. I know how to use one but when something goes wrong I am clueless.

Help the aged!

The next time you buy a tv make sure you can hook your computer up to it-problem solved.

PC monitors will soon become a thing of the past.
The home entertainment system comprising tv/video/dvd/cd/computer/stereo is already a reality for those that can afford it.I have an acquaintance who recently upgraded to such a system, cost him $AUS20,000.

For the forseeable future and while JJ is still breathing mail order is still safe.

If/when ease of transfer to DVD, and quality of downloads improves, I'll consider it.
I can name all of Steps as well, even though I'm 574: must be from writing all those hate-mail letters (Faye excepted, of course, as long as she keeps her hair straight and avoids those ridiculous curls).

Yeah, and have you seen the size of Claires thighs lately? Bloody huge.

And stop saying nasty things about Jo from S-Club7. She may be Essex but you know she could shag better than the others. And she is the only one out of the lot who can sing.
