Yes, yes I know all that - I just think it humorous that we park in driveways, and drive on parkways!

Ah the American band 'Pavement'?
Without wiki or googling it'll have to be a guess as I know nothing of that band.
They started out as a bunch of homeless people? They started out busking on the sidewalk and thought pavement sounded better (as Americans would think it was 'cute' like they think all British words and phrases are)?
