There are some strange folk about. Today at work we had a new clerical worker start. I was introduced by my boss to this person and it took me some considerable time to ascertain whether the individual standing in front of me was female or male. What made the situation worse was that the aforementioned person had an unisex name - Lesley, or Leslie. Eventually I discovered that this person was a female.

I was almost overcome with this peculiar feeling of wanting to stare at Les, and "she" wants to be known as, knowing it was wrong. I did have to struggle manfully to prevent my gaze wondering over to where "she" was working. Stop looking I kept saying to myself otherwise "she" will notice and become annoyed.

She, for her part, was probably freaked out at the gorilla smelling of poo constantly staring at her.

I was definitely not looking at her with lust. No, I didn't fear her. I think it was curiosity that had me looking, but I didn't want her to catch my eye in case she thought my gaze was a signal for her to advance on me.
