Kill, cook, eat

Caught a little of the kill it, cook it, eat it program just now in BBC3 where they were slaughtering milk fed lambs.

I watched the whole slaughter process and didn't find it squeamish or anything like that and found it quite educational. Only thing I didn't like was how young the first lambs were (26 days old apparently).

I think that its a good idea for anyone that eats meat to be able to see how it gets from being the "animal" to being the "meat".

What does everyone else think about it?

Anyone who eats meat should see where it comes from, and how the animal is killed. Since that would put me off eating it, though, I'll remain a hypocrite.

In mitigation, I don't eat lamb or veal.

Unfortunately, young Welsh spring lamb- for example- is just that.

Isn't the old joke to call little jumping lambs 'Mint Sauce' or 'Sunday Lunch' in front of little people, in order to give them the reality of how such things appear?
